Our goal for the 2014-2015 choir program is to expand our Choir Booster Group to include more members. If each parent commits to helping in at least one function/capacity per year, we will be able to expand our program while fostering a closer student/parent/teacher relationship.

Please contact me if you would be interested in shadowing any jobs periodically throughout the year to learn the process to take over for 2015-2016.  Thank you. Mrs. Fitzpatrick

The following is a partial list of jobs where help is needed each year in choir.  Please read the list and chose at least one item where you can help.  As you can see, it takes quite a bit of work behind the scenes to keep the program flowing.  More parent involvement equals less stress and better communication for everyone involved in choir.

Madrigal Dinner Committee – Several parents would be needed

            Tracking reservations

            Collecting and depositing receipts

            Setting up/decorating the hall

            Soliciting businesses for Raffle/Auction items

            Publicity

            Organizing and/or mending costumes

            Monitoring students during the dinner

Preparing a modest meal for the students during rehearsals

Fundraising – This position would include helping to decide fundraisers, contacting fundraising organizations, keeping track of student fundraising activities, organizing and distributing fundraising items.

Concert Organizers – This group would help organize the auditorium for concerts.  This may include decorating, monitoring the students during the concert, selling tickets, and/or distributing programs.

Robe Chairperson – This would involve coming to school several times during the year, primarily after events to make sure all students have returned their robes and they are in good repair and accounted for.  It may also include bringing to the cleaners.

T-Shirts – This person would contact t-shirt vendors to determine who has the best price, best product, etc.  They would also arrange pickup/delivery.

Trip Planner – This person would work with Mrs. Fitzpatrick to make sure all details of any trip planned are taken care of and information conveyed to parents.

Picnic/Banquet Coordinator – This person would be responsible for reserving a park or banquet hall for the year-end senior awards banquet or picnic as well as organize food, games, etc for the event.

Senior Photo CD – This person would be responsible for collecting photos from students and/or student’s parents, scanning the photos to a digital format and composing a photo slide show with music to be presented at the Singer’s Choice concert in the spring.

Videographer – This person would be responsible for video taping concerts and performances and making copies for interested parties.

Sewing – This person would help mending or altering choir robes and/or Madrigal costumes.

Snack Sales – This person would help organize candy sales (one week)
